Web Clubs
of America
Web Clubs of America was organized to facilitate the establishment
and management of school Web Clubs. Resources are provided in the form
of start-up manuals and policy recommendations, along with both technical
and material support. WCA accepts donated computer equipment, refurbishes
it, and distributes it (on the basis of need and order of joining) for
use by school Web Clubs. There is no assurance of receiving the requested
equipment, but distributions are made by matching needs with available
equipment on a first-come, first-served basis. Web Clubs of America also
provides World Wide Web Server Space for the school Web Site, which WCA
obtains for members at attractive rates. The organization also accepts
corporate donations in the form of technical services, monetary contributions
and hardware/software contributions. |
