Mike
Bianchi, a native of Northern California is a Software Engineer and
Database Analyst. He holds a BS degree from Tarleton
State University in Stephenville, TX in Analytical Chemistry and Wildlife
Ecology with graduate studies in Population Dynamics and an AAS degree
in Information Systems and Management from San
Antonio College.
A member of Alamo PC since 1992, Mike is currently serving as Webmaster, and has been a member of the Board of Directors, chair of the Volunteer Recognition Committee, member of the Bylaws Revision Committee, several other committees, leader of the Visual Basic and HTML SIGs and SeniorComp Instructor. In the past, he has held the positions of Secretary and Vice President of Membership. He has contributed articles on Multimedia, Database systems and various software and hardware reviews to the PC Alamode magazine.
Mike's wife, Linda, is also an active member of Alamo PC.
In addition to his work with Alamo PC, Mike is serving as a Consulting
Webmaster for the Arts Coalition
and is/has been a member of a variety of professional and scholastic organizations
including the Data Processing Management Association, Epsilon Delta Pi,
Beta Beta Beta, the American Chemical Society, Texas Association of Emergency
Medical Technicians, the Alamo Community Telecommunications Initiatives,
Inc. (ACT II), Who's Who Worldwide, HTML Writer's Guild, C/C++ User Group,
Visual dBASE User Group and the Far West Trail Cooks Association.
In his spare time (whatever that is), his hobbies are genealogy, reading
(mostly science fiction), computer graphics, photography and community
service projects. He also maintains a personal
web site.
