Joe
Brazell is employed by Ultramar
Diamond Shamrock Corporation as a Refinery System Supervisor. He joined
Alamo PC Organization in 1992 after being transferred to the headquarters
of Diamond Shamrock, Inc. He works with Clean Air Act compliance, Refinery
Information Systems, web development and refining industry benchmarking
and reporting.
Joe is a 1988 graduate of Lubbock Christian University with a B.S. in Chemistry. He spent several years during the middle of his college career running the computer center at York College in Nebraska where he learned Cobol, Fortran and database management. Several years after joining Alamo PC, Joe became a co-leader of the MS Access SIG and continues to lead that group. He began serving on the Board of Directors in October 1997 as VP Membership Retention and later served two terms as President of Alamo PC. He has helped serve on the Volunteer Recognition, Finance, ByLaws, and Young Member committees. He has also written several reviews for the PC Alamode. Joe and his wife attend the MacArthur Park Church of Christ. They have acted as part-time parents for several small children over the last 7 years. Joe's hobbies include computers, golf, reading and computer games (when time allows). Joe is a recipient of the Alamo PC Meritorious Service Award |
